Thank you very much for giving us data for your high tech company. Emboldened entries in the form are effectively public data, since it is available on public lists or on the front page of your own website. Other data given above, we will not pass on, but will publish analysis of data taken as a whole or by sector. The point of doing this as an annual time series for a number of years is twofold:
1. Showcase the sectoral clusters geographically in 'Web 2.0' style as never seen before, openly, so as to open up the cluster conveniently and graphically to the world.
2. Give the public sector information and analysis that will enable it to monitor the high tech companies better than ever before and with definitions that match supranational and national government standards. This means that companies meeting the definitions of high tech, will be in this list of companies, eligible for R&D tax credits and for various awards and funding opportunities. Analysis given by CIR to the government agencies will enable the public sector to improve support services for the businesses, and to make improvements to infrastructure. This ongoing project is not a survey. Those high tech companies not wishing to participate by giving data will still be on the list with basic public data only. We will send a confirmation of the data you passed to us by email.
